How we verify.
Every listing on powerplants.ai says what we know about a plant, how we know it, and when we last checked. This page explains the labels.
Availability: three labels, never blurred
- Owned: we hold title to the equipment.
- Exclusive: we hold a signed exclusive mandate from the owner.
- Direct: we deal directly with the owner, without exclusivity.
If we're in none of these positions, we don't list it.
Proof of life
Each listing carries an evidence table, and every line in it is marked:
- Verified: we hold it, and it's dated.
- On request: we hold it and release it under a mutual NCNDA.
- Not available: we don't hold it, and we say so.
The evidence we look for: physical inspection, recent photographs of the actual unit (never stock or manufacturer images), running hours and maintenance records, condition and inspection reports, serial numbers, and origin documents.
Dates on everything
Each listing shows when the plant was last verified and when the page was last updated. Availability changes, and a date makes an old listing obvious. A listing not re-verified within 90 days is marked as needing re-confirmation, and we confirm availability in writing before we quote.
What we don't publish
Prices, seller names, site locations and full serial numbers stay off the open site. Qualified buyers receive them under NCNDA.
Figures we quote
Market figures on this site name their source and date. Manufacturer performance figures are labelled as manufacturer claims.
